The Attorney General of Virginia, the Young Lawyers Division of The Virginia Bar Association, and the Federation of Virginia Food Banks invite you to participate in the fun-friendly Statewide 2015 Legal Food Frenzy to help fill the shelves with nutritious food at the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank for our neighbors in need who silently struggle with hunger.
In this friendly competition, the law firm or organization that raises the most food (based on a per person average—attorneys and staff) will be awarded the prestigious and highly coveted “Attorney General’s Cup.” In addition, the Attorney presents 11 additional awards in categories for sole practitioner, small, medium, and large size firm, and top law school, top government/public interest office, and top corporate legal department.
Over the past eight years, law firms, legal organizations, and law schools who participated in the Legal Food Frenzy have raised the equivalent of more than 11.4 million pounds of food. This year, our hope is to raise even more food and funds, so that we can meet the increased demand seen at our seven Virginia Foodbanks. To learn more about getting involved and to register your firm, please visit www.legalfoodfrenzy.com or www.hrfoodbank.org .
Gillette Law Group and LeClairRyan are taking action against hunger and want other firms in the Williamsburg community to join them in this statewide event to help provide the gift of a meal.
Last year, William and Mary Law School won the Attorney Generals Cup in the law school category. All winners are invited to a reception at the Governor’s mansion with Virginia’s Attorney General, Mark Herring.
